Reverse mortgages aren't the easiest loan product to understand. So when you need and quick and easy reference guide, provide this brochure to your clients straight from the FTC. Written in an objective fashion, "Reverse Mortgages: Get The Facts Before Cashing In On Your Home's Equity" is a great brochure you can easily add to your loan arsenal. When you have clients that are unsure or confused by the process, sometimes having an outside source to refer to is key in getting the sale. I've always practiced from a position of altruism and doing what's best for the client. If I don't think a reverse mortgage is right for them, I'll tell them that upfront. I'd rather lose a sale than make an enemy. The worst thing you could do is have the customer regret their actions and bad mouth you all over town. Yet, if they discuss things with you and decide that the product wasn't right for them, you'll still be a good guy in their eyes.
